Coronavirus Update

The Coronavirus pandemic, and the resulting 'lockdown' measures have meant we've all had to think about different ways of doing things. If you need counselling and, for whatever reason, we can't work face-to-face, I offer sessions either by videolink or on the 'phone.

Counselling by Videolink

To get the most out of your counselling by videolink please make sure:

  • you have a safe, comfortable and confidential space.
  • you won't be disturbed or overheard.
  • you have access to a laptop, tablet or smartphone with a camera and microphone. You might also find it helpful to use earphones.

I currently use Zoom, which is a cloud-based videocall platform. I send you a link (by email, text or WhatsApp) which connects you to each session. There is no need for you to download any software. I will send you a copy of my agreement which I will ask you to sign and send back to me. You can either send a photograph of the signed copy or type your 'signature' into the document and email me a copy.

Full details of how we will manage technical difficulties, lost connections etc. are included in my agreement.

Counselling by 'Phone

To get the most out of your 'phone counselling sessions please make sure:

  • you have a safe, comfortable and confidential space.
  • you won't be disturbed or overheard.

Using earphones will make the time spent on your 'phone more comfortable and less tiring.

As with counselling by videolink, I will send you a copy of my agreement which I will ask you to sign and send back to me. Again, a photograph of the signed copy will be fine, or you can email a copy with your typed 'signature'.

Full details of how we will manage the session if we are disconnected or lose signal are included in my agreement.

If you are thinking about videolink or phone counselling sessions, please contact me. Initial consultation appointments, by videolink or phone, can be arranged, free of charge.
